"Miss June" is our 10th Porsche.  This page tells more of our Porsche saga.

Back in 1975 I bought a 62 356 B Coupe.  It was pearlescent orange in color, with lots of clear coat over the color coats of paint.  Very flashy car.  Over time I rebuilt the engine two times and painted the car white when the clear coat on the paint was cracking badly.  Below is a picture of that car right after the paint job, in 1978.  That's my wife and I- we are Grandparents now!

While raising our 3 children, we were Porscheless--- definitely not a good word.  I finally jumped back into the the 356 mold in 1997 buying a 64 356 SC.  That was a project car and I never finished- but it did give me a great excuse to attend the 50 Anniversary of Porsche celebration in 1998 at Pebble Beach!  This car was very rusty, so the car was media blasted to bare metal.  We installed new floors, front nose, door bottoms, battery box, and lots of body work.  Years later when the metal work was finally done, we sold the car, losing plenty of $$ on it.  Lesson learned--- I hate rust.

Next up, was a very nice 88 Carrera Cab.  Below are some shots of that car, including my wife and I striking the same pose from 1977 (only this time the shot is taken in 2000).

The Carrera was a great car to drive on a warm day on a winding road, but I missed the simple flat 4 engine. So we sold the Carrera, and bought a 66 912.

Ahh  it was nice to have that flat 4 engine again, but then I missed the open air driving.  So we kept the red '66 coupe and added an interesting car, a 1968 Soft Window Targa.  Did a complete paint job in the original Tangerine color and restored much of the car, but never drove it.  We kept the Targa until after we bought "Miss June".

And of course, wouldn't it be fun to have a matching coupe project?  Here is a '67 912 we bought that was also Tangerine.  A project car I never worked on at all, then sold.

And, not to pass up any good deals, we bought this one too.  Kept this one briefly, and then sold for profit I could not refuse.  Very original car, and the new owner got a great deal.

During all of the above 912's coming and going my itch for a 356 was not yet scratched.  We purchased a 65 C Coupe shell thinking it would be a good project.  After getting it home it was decided that too much time would be required and too many missing parts for me, and we sold it to a buyer in Italy.  He was a lucky guy though, it was really very rust free.

All these really old Porsches coming and going, I needed a reliable car.  So, back to wanting an open car to drive, we again purchased an 88 Carrera cab.  We still have this one!!!!  It is my daily driver.

And then we finally added "Miss June".  She is a keeper!!!!
