The shots above show the car after all the work was done to install all new German vinyl interior from Autobahn Interiors. A new German square weave carpet was installed also, and the original headliner was left in place. This project was undertaken because the front seats had been recovered by the previous owner in the wrong material. Also, the front seats were not comfortable and needed to be completely rebuilt. After careful thought, it was decided to make sure the whole interior would match, and not have some parts look new, while the rest looked a bit tired. So, all of the black vinyl was replaced, including the dash.

Turns out it was a very good decision to remove the original interior. No matter how rust free a car might look, the rust is there....hiding in places you can't see. Working to remove rust from the inside of the car is dirty, nasty, uncomfortable work.
Below are shots showing the work
that was done prior to the installation of the new interior.

Here is a "Before" shot. Notice the incorrect seat covering on the front seats. In the rear seat area, it was all original vinyl, but it was not up to the standard of the rest of the car. The carpet had also faded quite a bit and the trim to the carpet was no longer black.
