With the car now in fresh paint, the interior being ordered soon, and aiming at driving the car in 2020, I thought it might be fun to look back at the condition of the car when I purchased it.
What the heck was I thinking? Actually, I was thinking I wanted a C coupe and as little rust as possible. Found the car in Arizona and it was originally from Southern California. The receipts of the engine build were the thing that put me over the top and ready to buy.

Pretty sure there must be a rule somewhere that you simply cannot have enough red plaid luggage for your PORSCHE!
I already had the suitcase (left) and the weekender bag (right) but now I have the "tote" shown in the center of the photo. All in the name of just having some fun stuff!

Oh wait! It actually is a toy! I have seen these around before, so perhaps not all that rare of a toy as far as a "collectible" toy would go. Also it is not made by PORSCHE. Still, it is just so darn cute! At about 5.5" long, it is not small, and it just seemed to call out to me that it belonged on my shelf.
This one is NOT for the grand kids, this one is for Grandpa!
Not at all in something like perfect shape, maybe at some point it actually got played with.
So nice when you find an original, factory issued, great condition manual. This one is nearly perfect inside and out. Of course, the manual covers the coveted 356 Carrera and these manuals are more scarce than the push-rod versions. Happy to have it in my collection. 187 pages.
PORSCHE has long had the practice of sending out technical information often called "Bulletins". As far as I know, this practice continues to this day.
During the 356 Era, there were lots of bulletins sent out to the dealerships so that they could handle specific problems, upgrades, and were trained in handling service to the customer. The binders for these bulletins is very hard to come by, as dealerships tended to toss out the outdated and no longer needed information. Individual bulletins have survived and collectors sometimes hoard them because of their collectability.
Anyway, my find and newest edition to my PORSCHE library is shown below. The binder is in very nice shape, as are the individual tabs.
Now the challenge--- fill it up!
