Not having NOS Friday this week. Just a Thursday restoration post. I am starting to restore the "eyes" of Miss April- the Headlights. There will be several posts, showing that in fact the headlights are original to the car and how I restore them to things of beauty. So, here is the first photo. Of course, this time I forgot to take a "before" shot. The headlight rings were removed from the car and then the mounting tabs removed. For 356 C there were two rivets, NOT one, and the adjusting screws were at 1 and 7 o'clock. The rings were sent to a chrome house and the mounting tabs went out for zinc plating. Once returned, the tabs were again secured with proper size chrome rivets. New rubber was purchased. The original rubber around the glass was ivory, not black in color. Only the headlight to body seal was black. Ready for the next step, cleaning and painting the housing in the exact same color as original. I'll save that for a later posting.
