Hoping to get some time under the dash this weekend. Need to re-connect the windshield wiper shafts and windshield washer jets. Once those are in, I will do the simple job of installing the glove box that I restored myself.
In preparation, I went to my shelf and was thinking of what items I want to carry in my glove box. Below is what comes to mind that might have been originally put in there when new cars were picked up. The red booklet that says PORSCHE Service on it is a listing of all PORSCHE locations worldwide. Of course, it includes the dealership where my car was purchased- Trans Ocean in Pasadena, California. It is listed on page 209. Below is a photo of what I will carry in the glove box. Feel free to let me know if I am forgetting something. I don't have an original battery warranty card nor the factory issued service booklet.

When it was snowing outside, I worked inside for a short while finishing up the steering wheel project. I had already spent a lot of hours restoring the wood and applying the shellac, but I needed to put the black paint in the spokes. I also had some touch up painting to do on the back side of my original horn button. It has a small crack in the center- like most originals do- but still has a nice appearance. At least to me anyway.
If you want the entire story on the steering wheel, click HERE On Saturday, Seattle had the most snowfall on a single day since 1969. They had 9" of snow, and outlaying areas had more. It was a good time to stay off the roads and bundled up by the fire. Or,,, just bundled up in the garage!
