Miss April is back home now and I am working on the process of color sanding the paint. I am pretty picky about the surface of the paint not having any orange peel (uneven paint that looks like the surface of an orange). So, wet color sanding with various grades of sandpaper are the cure. I start with 1500 then move to 2000 and then finer and finer grades.
Basically, it means I am going to wet sand the car 4 times, polish it twice, wax it once! Lots of time! Photos below show some of the progress. Front fender shot shows a full area after sanding with all the grades of sandpaper. Door and front fender photos show a completed section. You’ve got your work cut out for you. But I know it’s a labor of love.
