I have looked for an original Porsche umbrella for a very very long time. A while back I found one that is/was early 911 era vintage, and posted about it here in my blog. It is an awesome umbrella, but not from the 356 period. There was a version sold during 356 production that had handles that could fold down to form a seat. This design was used by Ferry Porsche himself, as his legs would get tired at the race track. Photos of Ferry with the umbrella shown below. Below the Ferry Porsche photos, is my umbrella. So happy to have this in the collection. Guess I should sell the early 911 era one. Here is mine-- just like shown above!!!

Congratulations on finding that umbrella. I’ve been on the hunt for one for years. Like they say “They’re still out there” so my hunt continues. What was the difference between the 911 era and the 356? The seat.?
